Andrea awoke in the morning; she was troubled and quite nervous about her meeting with Demon today. The servants came in to help her bathe and dress.
Tonight
her dress was red with fire-breathing dragons embroidered with black
thread. She walked downstairs uncertain
of the outcome. She walked past the
great hall and into the audience room.
She did not see him but she knew he was in the room behind the door with
the dragons.
As
she approached the door a feeling of dread came over her. ‘How would he react? What would he say? What would he do?’ She
had spent time with him and he tried to be nice to her but she couldn't help
remembering those times when he didn't want her there, when he had been so
cruel to her and she became afraid.
She
stretched out her hand to open the door and she was overcome with a feeling of
dread that she could not open the door.
She couldn’t go through with it, she turned around and walked away from
the door out of the audience room and into the great hall.
Demon
sat in his chair in front of the fireplace.
He knew she was there, he knew she was behind the door. Why didn't she come in? He didn’t understand why she hesitated. He got up and moved to the door and as he
did he could feel her running away.
Demon
bowed his head. She had changed her
mind and there was nothing he could do.
He sat back down in his chair and stared into the fire.
Andrea
was in the great hall all alone, nervous and pacing. There was a bright light.
"Andrea,
Demon is waiting for you." It was
Miranda.
Andrea
looked at Miranda, "I can't."
"Yes
you can Andrea. You are stronger than
you think you are."
"Strength
has nothing to do with it. I just…I
don't know how he will react. He
doesn't like me."
"Andrea,
he likes you far more than you think.
You have to understand that The Dark Ones don't want you here. They don't want you to be the Lady and they
are doing what they can to stop that.
Any confusion that my Dragon has is due to The Dark Ones. It is not because of you, he likes you very
much. He is waiting for you." with that Miranda was gone.
Andrea
walked back to the audience room and again she stood in front of the Demon's
door. Very quietly she turned the
handle of the door and walked in. Demon
was sitting in the chair in front of the fireplace. He was lost in his thoughts and did not hear her enter. Andrea walked up behind him and put her hand
on his shoulder. Demon covered her hand
with his and closed his eyes, she had come back.
He
pulled her down to sit in his lap and encircled her in his arms. She put her head down on his shoulder and
they sat there in silence. Demon
stroked her hair; he couldn't believe that she had actually come back.
"I
was so afraid you would not come back."
"I
know."
As
they sat in front of the fire a storm raged outside, the rain and the wind beat
against the manor. Andrea climbed off
of Demon's lap and walked to the window watching the storm as the lightning and
thunder continued.
Demon
walked up behind her and put his arms around her waist and kissed her on the
neck. She turned around in his arms so
she was facing him. They looked into
each other's eyes. Demon's kiss was
passionate and hungry and it took her breath away. So consumed with his kiss and the sound of the storm outside she
was never aware that he undressed her and took her to the bed.
Andrea's
mind exploded at the things Demon was doing to her body.
Demon
was not finished, not satisfied yet, he wanted more of her. He could not get enough of Andrea. He enjoyed her all night.
